The Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas is once again facing questions about her personal life, with fresh rumours claiming she tied the knot with Singapore-based businessman Ferdous Hasan around seven months ago.
 
The claim remains unconfirmed, with neither Apu Biswas nor Hasan publicly addressing the alleged marriage. However, several people close to the actress have reportedly confirmed it to this correspondent, adding a new twist to speculation that has followed the pair for some time.
 
The latest buzz erupted after Biswas wished Hasan on his birthday on Facebook on Wednesday evening, 14 October. In the post, she called him both her “dear friend” and “business mentor”, offering a glimpse into a relationship that has repeatedly attracted public attention.
 
 “Wishing you lots of heartfelt good wishes and love,” she wrote.
 
“Not just as a business mentor, but also as a dear friend, please continue to stand by me like this. May this friendship and journey together continue for many years to come…”
 
The affectionate message has put their relationship back under the spotlight.
 
According to rumours circulating in the film industry, Biswas and Hasan married around seven months ago. The reports further suggest that the alleged marriage would be Hasan’s second.
 
For now, however, the claims remain unverified by the two people at the centre of the speculation.
 
Rumours linking Biswas and Hasan are not new. Around a year ago, the actress faced similar speculation about their relationship. During a podcast appearance, she described Hasan as a very good friend and dismissed the reports as rumours.
 
The programme also addressed her frequent trips to Singapore. Biswas explained that she had been consulting doctors there for the past four to five years for treatment for herself and her son, Abraham Khan Joy. She said she had sought medical advice in Singapore on the recommendation of doctors in Bangladesh.
 
Her birthday message has now brought the earlier speculation back into focus, although the post itself does not confirm a marriage.
 
Biswas has previously found herself at the centre of relationship rumours involving another co-star. Speculation about a romance and possible marriage between her and actor Bappy Chowdhury spread while they were working together on Priyo Komola, directed by Shahriar Nazim Joy.
 
Biswas firmly denied the claims at the time. Chowdhury also rejected the speculation, describing her as his senior colleague and insisting that their relationship went no further than being co-stars.
 
Biswas’s personal life has drawn public attention before. She married Shakib Khan on 18 April 2008, but the couple kept their marriage secret for years. Their son, Abraham Khan Joy, was born on 27 September 2016.
 
On 10 April 2017, Biswas appeared on a live television programme with Joy and publicly revealed both her marriage to Shakib and the existence of their son. The revelation brought their previously private relationship into the public eye.
 
Shakib sent Biswas a divorce notice on 22 November 2017, and their marriage legally ended on 22 February 2018.
